Blueberry Muffin-Pineapple Muffin

Robinsons of Maine - Hybrid

Blueberry Muffin-Pineapple Muffin, or BMPM as we have been calling it is a new cross developed by our friends at Seed and Soil Maine. Two great strains crossed produce a wonderful aroma of a mix of blueberries and pineapples. The strain is so new, it does not yet have a name, so we just call it BMPM. It is sativa leaning, with a mellowing out from the Blueberry Muffin side of the cross. Lively and tasty, this is sure to be one of our regular strains going forward.

Midcoast Mojito aka Green Crack

Robinsons of Maine - Sativa

Another new strain for us this year, from Seed n Soil Maine's lineup. This is their take on Lime Green Crack. They describe it as follow: This line came into our hands from a neighbor, and we were impressed with a special pheno that tossed off some prolific yields, good resistance, and uncanny lime smell - similar to dried key lime used in Persian cooking. It has an eye-watering mint-ish quality, and like mint, it might overwhelm all the other plants in your garden – with both its aroma and vigor! A midcoast original selected at our farm for two generations from an original polyhybrid of Afghani Kush/Green Crack/Blue Cheese. Its alias “Lime Green Crack” is the moniker it flies under when it finds itself on dispensary shelves as live resin. For those sativa-lovers that fondly recall the Green Crack craze, Midcoast Mojito delivers the same pedal-to-the-metal sativa energy, especially in extract form.

Trainwreck.PNG

Trainwreck

Robinsons of Maine - Hybrid

An old classic that has been revived by the good folks at Humboldt Seed Company and Seed and Soil Maine. A lively sativa, with a fresh lemony nose. Seed and Soil Maine describes the strain as follows: "This Trainwreck comes with the greatest possible assurance to be directly descended from the original famous Arcata Trainwreck aka A. Train. Trainwreck’s excellent speedy effects made a big splash in Europe when the cut made it there and the prominent breeders of the era re-injected genetics with Trainwreck heritage back into the hands of North American growers. Truly one of the venerable ancestors of the modern greats."

Dankincense

Robinsons of Maine - Indica

Early, gassy, resinous and great bubble hash yield. The result of two years of a pheno hunting selection from Humbolt Seed Company's Venom. This line has gone through many iterations and names - asphalt plant, All Gas OG, and all such plants in this family were called "Dankincense" by the breeder. The breeder's selections lean towards looser more heavily spiced flowers and earliness.

Blueberry+muffin.PNG

Blueberry Muffin

Robinsons of Maine - Indica

Our first year growing this strain and will definitely become a part of our regular lineup. From our friends at Seed and Soil Maine, who describe it as follows: "Rightfully a flagship of Humboldt Seed Co., the Blueberry Muffin is the result of 30 years of selection by Nat Pennington, founder of HSC. It’s a performer outdoors, and very user friendly - early finishing, well-spaced nug for less mold, nice structure whether trained or left au naturale - no floppy octopus vines or overabundant interior branches. Most impressive is that it really smells like blueberry muffins - not blueberries, blueberry muffins. Difficult to see flower on retail shelves though because it rarely cracks 20% THC, nevertheless, it’s a top shelf smoke with balanced anxiety-free effects."

Hashplant 13

The Flower Farm - Indica

We are pleased to have a limited quantity of this strain from our friends at The Flower Farm.  They specialize in growing really unique phenos and strains under the sun in living soil.   HP13 a really old and pretty tightly held and sought after cut, believed to have originated from seed brought back from Afghanistan in the 70s and maybe crossed to a Thai  strain from the Brotherhood of Eternal Love, rumored to have been held by one of their friends in Arizona before making its way to California and Hawaii, and then eventually New York.  It is mentioned in Jason King's Cannabible, although specifics are unclear. It has a unique floral, skunky, hashy aroma and a complex hashy flavor with a garlicy and noticeable spicy peppery note and a strong stimulating high probably from the Thai influence, quite different from traditional hashplants.  It is one of the parents to a well-known and equally rare variety from Hawaii known as West Maui Dogg.     Limited quantities available, only in 1/8ths.

Omaha+Jazz.PNG

Omaha Jazz

Robinsons of Maine - Hybrid

Another strain from our favorite seed breeders at Seed and Soil Maine. This was our first time to try this year, but given how much we like it, it will become a regular on our menu. Seed and Soil describes it as follows: "Formerly released in regular seed only as “Omaha Bias” the Omaha Jazz feminized seed for 2023 is one step closer to pinning down the memory of dragons - the legendary “Sweet Jazz” strain. Another unique release offered with great pride and with gratitude for the “traditional” market, people who took real risks to carry cannabis genetics forward when it was illegal. This strain comes to you from Betsy’s homeland of Omaha, Nebraska. Some ancestry is Jamaican.

Jack+Herer.PNG

Jack Herer

Robinsons of Maine - Sativa

We decided to try this old favorite strain this year and are glad we gave it a try. Very tasty buds, small but dense. Leafly describes Jack Herer as follows: "Jack Herer, also known as "JH," "The Jack," "Premium Jack," and "Platinum Jack" is a sativa-dominant marijuana strain that has gained as much renown as its namesake, the marijuana activist and author of The Emperor Wears No Clothes. Combining a Haze hybrid with a Northern Lights #5 and Shiva Skunk cross, Sensi Seeds created Jack Herer hoping to capture both cerebral elevation and heavy resin production. Its rich genetic background gives rise to several different variations of Jack Herer, each phenotype bearing its own unique features and effects. Leafly reviewers tell us that Jack Herer’s effects include feeling energetic, creative, and uplifted. However, consumers typically describe this 55% sativa hybrid as blissful, clear-headed, and creative. Jack Herer was created in the Netherlands in the mid-1990s, where it was later distributed by Dutch pharmacies as a recognized medical-grade strain. Since then, this spicy, pine-scented strain has taken home numerous awards for its quality and potency."

Hella+Jelly.PNG

Hella Jelly

Robinsons of Maine - Sativa

Another great strain from our friends at Seed and Soil Maine, who describe this strain as follows: "More recent entry into the Humboldt Seed Co. catalog. We (Ben & Betsy) were actually on “the mountain” farming with Nat in 2019 when the original Hella Jelly Unicorn was found. It astounded all with great outdoor performance, earliness, and testing above 30%! A star was immediately born, and the S1 Hella Jelly was released the following year - it did not disappoint. Hella Jelly has gotten some justifiable hype, becoming a darling of Leafly as a new member of the “Sativa hall of fame”. So support continued open-source breeding in cannabis, we are very proud to offer the first ever regular seeds from Hella Jelly! It’s the result of backcrossing males from the original cross to the most true-to-type Hella Jelly moms inbred by selfing. Now enjoy reasonably uniform regs or very uniform fems of this already beloved outdoor-performing sativa. Crack a jar and the room fills with candy and skunk. Buzzy one-hit-wonder effects

Northern+Lights.PNG

Northern Lights

Robinsons of Maine - Indica

A classic strain that we decided to try this year and are happy we did. A heavy hitting indica that relaxes the mind and body. Leafly describes the strain as: an indica marijuana strain made by crossing Afghani with Thai. Northern Lights (NL) produces euphoric effects that settle in firmly throughout the body, relaxing muscles and easing the mind. Consumers say this strain has a pungently sweet and spicy flavor profile that is smooth on the exhale. Medical marijuana patients choose Northern Lights to help relieve symptoms associated with depression, stress, pain and insomnia. Northern Lights stands among the most famous strains of all time, a pure indica cherished for its resinous buds, fast flowering, and resilience during growth. This strain has given rise to famous hybrids like Shiva Skunk and Super Silver Haze. Rumor has it that Northern Lights first sprouted near Seattle, Washington, but was propagated out of Holland after 1985 at what is now Sensi Seeds.

A cross between a Moroccan Landrace, Lemon Telescope Auto and Tangie, it is being developed by our friends at Seed and Soil Maine. A prolific plant with a great aroma and one of the most lively strains any of us have tried in a long time.

Pineapple Dragon

Robinsons of Maine - Sativa

Pineapple Haze x Red Dragon Pineapple Dragon is a mostly sativa variety from Green Wolf Genetics Pineapple Haze combines the tropical aroma of Pineapple with the racing cerebral energy of Haze, creating a mostly sativa strain with equally enticing flavors and effects. Its tall plants bloom with large colas that look and smell much like pineapples. The Haze influence leads the charge when it comes to Pineapple Haze’s effects, lending a creative and energetic spark that can be harnessed day or night. Red Dragon is a hybrid marijuana strain made by crossing South American with Afghani. Red Dragon produces happy and uplifting effects with a sweet and fruity aroma. However, some consumers say this strain makes them feel quite paranoid, so take caution with Red Dragon if you're prone to anxiety. Medical marijuana patients choose this strain to help relieve symptoms associated with depression and stress. Tropical aroma with a cerebral high, very energetic.

IMG_5082.PNG

Doug's Varin

Robinsons of Maine - Sativa

Doug’s Varin is a rare sativa that was specially crafted to contain high amounts of the psychoactive cannabinoid THCV. The strain is uplifting and energetic and considered to be an appetite suppressant, so a favorite of people who are trying to avoid the munchies. People with anorexia and appetite loss might want to steer clear of Doug’s Varin, as THCV may suppress hunger. With an aroma of earthy pine and sweet citrus, Doug’s Varin delivers a clear-headed burst of mental stimulation that doesn’t last long, making this strain a perfect choice for anyone seeking short-term effects.

caramel-headband-2.jpg

Caramel Headband

Robinsons of Maine - Hybrid

This strain comes to us from our good friends at Seed and Soil Maine, an affiliate of the Humboldt Seed Company. A creamy twist on the classic Headband hybrid. Headband is said to have been developed from OG Kush and Sour Diesel. Whatever its origins, a good Headband is a favorite for a cozy body high. This offering is the seed from select headband male pollen dusted back to a population of Headband x Caramel Cream which is a stunning unicorn boasting explosive vigor and dense gassy nugs with an unusual toasted toffee overtone. This seed run is from only two mom plants that kept the caramel overtone layer on the classic Headband gas.
